Most roll-off dumpsters need about 30–40 feet of length (roughly a full driveway) and around 12 feet of width. Allow at least 20 feet of vertical clearance with no low wires, tree branches, or carports in the way of the truck or dumpster door.
A solid, level driveway or paved pad is ideal. Soft ground, wet grass, and steep slopes are not recommended. When placing on softer surfaces, the customer accepts the risk of settling, ruts, or minor surface marks.
The rear dumpster door opens for walk-in loading. Leave enough room behind the dumpster so the door can swing open fully and you can carry in bulky items like couches, appliances, and heavy boxes safely.
